Online Store FAQ's

Listed below are questions customers frequently ask us.
If you can't find the answer to a question you have or you would like to know more details, please feel free to contact us. 

 
1. How much is the Postage?

Postage is a flat rate of $12.00 within Australia, and $20.00 for all International purchases. Postage will only be charged once per purchase, and is not per item. This will be added to the invoice total during checkout with paypal.

Please select a postage option of "Australia Wide" or "International" for your first item, additional items should be selected with a postage item of "FREE - I have selected another item with postage".

 

2. How long will it take for my purchase to arrive? 

Again this is dependant on where we are sending your purchase to, but we will endeavour to get your new purchase to you just as soon as we can. Residents in Australia/New Zealand should expect it within 7 - 10 days, and Asia and US/Rest of World should expect it within 2-3 weeks. If you haven't had it by then, please let us know at support@quilts-n-bags.com and we can look into it for you.

 

3. How does a downloadable Pattern Set work?

Some of our newer pattern sets are now available as downloadable eBooks, which saves you both time and money, as there’s no extra postage to pay, and once you’ve ordered and registered, you can login and download your new pattern sets straight away. As part of ordering, you will need to register with a username and password, so that you can always login and access the downloadable eBooks you’ve purchased whenever you want to. All files are standard pdf files and work on PC or Mac computers. We do recommend you save a copy to your computer too.

 

4. I can't use Paypal - how else can I make a purchase?

We understand that not everyone chooses to use Paypal, and we are happy to accept Visa or Mastercard payments for your purchases, or you may post a cheque or money order in Australian Dollars. Please email Jody at jody@quilts-n-bags.com to arrange this.

 

5. The amount I paid is slightly different – why?

The prices and postage rates have been quoted in Australian Dollars. Depending on your preferred currency, you will notice a slight fluctuation either up or down in price if you are not using Australian Dollars for this purchase. Exchange rates do vary and the rate you pay will be dependent on Paypal's / your Bank's current exchange rates at the time of purchase. (Currently the Australian Dollar is LESS THAN the US Dollar.)

 

6. How do I use a CD-Rom?

Using a CD-Rom is easy. You simply put the CD in your computer and it will open automatically. It may take a couple of minutes, but please be patient and wait for the menu to show.

The files are stored in pdf format. This is a standard format for downloadable files and will work with PCs or Macs. You will need the free Adobe Acrobat software to view these files. This is now fairly standard on most computers, but if you need to download the software, you will be able to get it for free from www.adobe.com .

 

7. How do I claim a refund on my purchase?

If your CD-Rom is faulty, we will replace it for you. Should you decide that you want a refund of your purchase, please let us know in writing before sending it to us. Contact Jody at jody@quilts-n-bags.com and let her know first. Postage will not be refunded, and you are liable for the return postage also. The item cost will be fully refunded to you, by the same method by which you initially paid.

 

8. What else do you offer?


The Online Quilt Magazine is a FREE downloadable monthly magazine for quilters. It features a variety of different stories, tips and tricks and "How To's" each month, as well as at least one Bonus Project for subscribers to try.
